<B>Postal Savings System $5 Series 1954.</B></I> The Postal Savings System was a way for Americans to save who did not have bank accounts. Deposit Certificates come in various dollar denominations up through the $500 and there are also several series. The Postal Savings System was discontinued in the 1960s. This <B>Choice Crisp Uncirculated</B></I> $5 is from near the end of the program when computer card-like certificates of deposit were being used. Also included with the card are two desirable collateral items of the program.
