Post World War I DWM Model 1920 Weimar Era World War II Nazi Police Luger Rig

This is an example of a post WWI Weimar era DWM Police Luger that is complete with two Police remarked matching magazines and converted Police leather holster. These early Police Lugers were all originally WWI military Lugers that were converted into Commercial Lugers, in 7.65mm Luger in accordance with the Treaty of Versailles and then converted/reissued as Police Lugers during the Weimar era in the 1921-1925 time frame. This example was reissued during the Nazi era as both magazines have Nazi Police proof marks. The chamber is stamped "1920" the DWM logo on the front toggle. There are no military proofs on the pistol, however the left side of the barrel extension, and breech block have the early single "Crown/N" Commercial proof. It is numbered in the military fashion with the full serial number on the major components with the last two digits on the various small parts. During the Nazi reissue era it was rebarreled into 9mm as the barrel is numbered to the pistol, however it has no additional proofs. The top of the side plate has the sear safety bar indicating police issue. It is complete with two renumbered, nickel plated magazines with aluminum bases that are marked: "1/3860/Eagle L and 2/3860/Eagle/L". The holster is also a converted WWI military holster into a Weimar Police issue holster, with original shoulder strap.

Manufucture: DWM
Model: 1920 Police/Military
BBL: 3 7/8 inch round
Stock:
Guage: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 3860o

Fine with 80% of the faded arsenal refurbished blue finish overall with traces of the straw colors on the small parts. The grips are very good with nice original checkering on both sides. The Holster is good as converted, showing considerable wear and finish loss on the face of the holster, overall. As noted this example has all matching numbers to include both magazines.
