Post-World War I 1920 Era Police Double Date Luger Rig

This is a late post-WWI 1920 era double date Erfurt Police luger rig that is complete with two matching magazines and an original brown police luger holster. The chamber has the double date "1920/1912" with the standard "Crown/ERFURT" mark on the front toggle. The barrel extension has the standard "Crown/script" proofs with an "Imperial Eagle" proof. The Luger has a very late post WWI replacement barrel that has the small "TP" proof for the Technical Police units over the larger Simson Eagle proof, however there are no Nazi proof marks. It is also fitted with the remnants of the Police sear safety over the side plate. The overall pistol exhibits the typical Erfurt machining and post-WWI arsenal refurbished blue finish with many of the smaller parts having the "Erfurt Crown over a script" letter proof. The pistol has the standard fixed front and rear sights and the extractor and safety are properly marked with "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN". It is complete with two matching magazines, both have the nickel plated bodies, one with an aluminum base and the other with a wooden base, they are stamped "1/6902 and 3/6902". It is complete with a brown leather holster that is stamped on the back "KERN KLAGER & Cie./1932/Berlin" over the early Police Sunburst proof mark.

Very fine with 90% of the arsenal refurbished blue finish with wear on the edges and high spots with some thinning and spotting on the front grip strap. The trigger guard is bent out of round slightly with a noticeable gap under the bottom of the trigger. The grips are in fine condition with nice distinct checkering, showing some minor handling marks on both sides. The holster is in fine condition with a nice brown color overall, with scuffing and minor scratches with nice tight stitching and clear sharp markings on the back.
