ST.V" over the serial number ("Tirol Standschutzen Verband"), the left side is marked with the "crown over G, B, N and U" proofmarks. The left side of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number followed by "8.15X46". The left receiver wall is marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A/N." and the top rear of the receiver is marked with the Mauser banner. The bolt handle and safety lever are numbered to the gun. Blade front and tangent style rear sights, and mounted with a round knob pistol grip stock and handguard, with finger groove forearm and flat iron buttplate. The underside of the buttstock has an affixed (later taped) shooting event entry tag. Complete with a muzzle/front sight cover and leather sling.
BBL: 30 inch round
Stock: walnut
Gauge: 8.15X46R
Finish: blue
Grips:
Serial Number: 20882
Condition: Arsenal refurbished with 95% of the blue finish remaining with some light spotting on the forward portion of the barrel and some minor pitting under the finish on the rear portion of the barrel. The bayonet lug has a smooth brownish gray patina. The refinished stock is very good, at one point having been cut just ahead of the rear sight, which has since come unglued, with a minor age crack on the upper right side of the buttstock and a few minor dings and scratches overall. The markings are clear. The sling is good. The action is excellent.
