Offered in this lot is a rare 1910 First Edition of "Portrait Life of Lincoln” by Francis Trevelyan Miller (1877–1959), an American writer and filmmaker. This book tells the life of Abraham Lincoln, told from original photographs taken with his authority, during the Great Crisis that he led our country through. This is a remarkable collection of photographs of Lincoln from his earliest known images (around 1846) to the scene of the hanging of the men involved in the conspiracy to assassinate him, to the monument erected in his memory in his hometown of Springfield, Illinois. This book also features "...nine great speeches that mark the rise of Abraham Lincoln as an orator and leader of the people."
The book is bound in brown cloth and has gold gilt and a photograph of Abraham Lincoln on the cover; scuffing noted to cover edges including spine, age tanning and foxing noted to intact pages. In good overall condition for being 112 years old! Measures 7.75"W x 10.75"L x .5"D
