American character actor (1888-1953) best known for his roles as villains or comedically incompetent characters Vintage glossy 7.75 x 9.5 head-and-shoulders photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Jess Hoaglin, with Best Wishes, from Porter Hall, June 1942.” In very good condition, with moderate surface creasing and impressions, faint paperclip imprints, a small tear to the left edge and trimmed edges.
