Decorative vase with an appealing glaze

This so-called ‘arrow head’ vase dates to 19th century China and has an archaistic Fanghu form with a pair of square lug handles flanking the neck. The bulbous body rises on a rectangular foot rim, the front and back are potted in raised relief with peach-shaped lobes. The vase boasts an elegant allover amber glaze with a fine craquelé, which also covers the base and the inside of the neck.



The vase is in good condition with minor signs of age and wear. There are small manufacturing flaws as well as a few glaze chips to the base of the foot rim. The height measures 25.5 cm.
