Born Giovanni Angelo Braschi in 1717, Pius served as pope from 1775 until his death in 1799. LS in Italian, signed “Pius PP. VI,” one page, 8.25 x 11.5, February 20, 1783. Letter authorizing several fees until further notice for some Vatican's employees. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, moderate edge toning from reinforcement on reverse, and some light creasing and wrinkling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
