Webster,” no date, in full: “Will you send a copy of today’s Daily to John Sargent Esq. of Philadelphia.” Lower portion bears a notation in another hand, “Sent,” addressed on the reverse of the second integral page in Webster’s hand; and a pair of partly-printed DSs from Wiliam M. ‘Boss’ Tweed, both signed “W. M. Tweed,” dated June 13 and August 22, 1867. Both are payment receipts for office supply purchases. In overall very good to fine condition, with show-through from a mounting strip to the left side of the Webster letter, a tear to the upper left edge of the Comstock letter, and expected document wear to the Tweed receipts. Accompanied by an unsigned engraving of Webster.
