<B>Political Archive Pertaining to Adlai E. Stevenson's Friend Eames MacVeagh,</B></I> a large trove of approximately 100 letters to Eames MacVeagh and his father, Franklin MacVeagh. Of these, there are at least nine Adlai Stevenson Typed Letters Signed, at least two J. Edgar Hoover Typed Letters Signed and a TLS by Taft's Vice-President James F. Sherman. The signatures of numerous other early 20th century politicians, diplomats and dignitaries are also represented in this extraordinary grouping. Worthy of research and cataloging. Overall fine condition. Franklin MacVeagh, a Chicago attorney and grocer, was appointed United States Attorney General in 1909.
