The lot features seven carved bone awls and hair pins from the Plateau Indians of the Columbia River and dating to the 18th-19th Century. The pieces were recovered by Craig Turner in the 1930’s in the Oregon / Washington Columbia River area. These are all carved into a point with five having a drilled hole at the top. Most all of the pieces are hand etched / carved in a geometric pattern. The longest example appears to be 6 inches in length and the shortest is 2 inches in length.
