Good copy. € 500/700 One of the rare Italian publications of the Plantin Press : a collection of 100 political aphorisms by the Italian historian Francesco Guicciardini (1482-1540). They were edited by his nephew Lodovico and dedicated by him to A. Farnese on 24 July 1585, i.e. a few weeks before the capitulation of Antwerp to Farnese.
