A very decorative, Northern Plains vest from South Dakota. Adult size, 24" x 20", constructed of Native tanned hide with a cloth liner. Signed in ink on the liner: "Mike Walsh / Belle Fourche, S. D. / Falce [sp?] Hot ‘Champ' 1939". The vest is adorned with artistically painted geometric designs, with mounted Native riders on the front, and a portrait of a Native American Chief along with bows, arrows and clubs on the back. Very good condition, showing some use wear.

Includes display stand.
