This is an early carved burl wood bowl from the Plains Native American Indians. The piece is believed to be very early with from circa 18th to 19th Century. The piece shows a rich tight burl grain and is all hand carved. The bowl has a hardwood very early repair as shown. Provenance: The bowl is from a Native American Indian collection from Hendersonville, North Carolina. The bowl measures 8" diameter and 4"H. The piece appears to be in very well preserved good museum quality condition. Please review pictures for condition and age.
