For your consideration is a Plains Beaded Pipe Tomahawk and Tobacco Pouch, 1960s. The cast steel head features a floral motif around the heart cutout. Typical flaring western blade pipe bowl exhibits a medium height base with double ridge and wide body sitting atop a tapered neck, with a tine mouthpiece. Sinew and leather wrapped shaft features gold thread sewn glass trade seed beads with colours of light and dark blue, white, and red. Trade pony beads of greasy yellow, and translucent red, blue, and clear in geometric designs and an attached elk dew claw. Tobacco leather pouch features trade seed beads on the front face in geometric designs of light and dark blue, white and red. Tomahawk pipe head has a rich patina throughout, shaft leather nicely preserved. Leather tobacco pouch is supple. Tomahawk measures 15.75"L, head is 7.375"L x 2.25"W; pouch is 4.5"W x 15"L. Combined weight is 12oz.
