Cased Reproduction of the "Pitcairn Pistol, the gun that fired the shot that was heard round the world!". The reproduction of the all steel and silver Scottish Murdoch ram's horn butt flintlock pistol used by British Major Pitcairn whom historians believe fired the first shot of the American Revolutionary War from the Green at Lexington. .60 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel, floral scroll engraved with fluted breech. Floral scroll engraved frame and grip with ball trigger. Belt hook. Left side of grip with oval brass escutcheon with commemorative legend: Lexington/April 12, 1775. Right side with brass escutcheon with Pitcairn family crest. Contained in blue velour-lined factory walnut display case. Limited edition of 900 made by the Whitney Armory for the US Historical Society
