Featured in this lot is this Pioneer and Frontier compilations of 19th century Montana. There are two books in this collection. The first is called "Pioneering in Montana: The Making of a State, 1864-1887" by Granville Stuart and edited by Paul C. Philips. The second book is called When Montana and I were Young: A Frontier Childhood" by Margaret Bell and edited and with an introduction by Mary Clearman Blew with an afterword by Lee Rostad. Both books include excerpts and entries with stories from the pioneering frontier of 19th century Montana. The condition of these two books shows some folding to the cover and browning to the pages but otherwise shows well preserved condition. The measurements of these books is 8" x 5 3/8" and 8 3/4" x 5 3/4".
