(Disney, c.1940s) A vintage 16" 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record from the Music Transcription Library of the Armed Forces Radio Service. This large format broadcast record was intended for distribution to a radio station operated by the Armed Forces Radio Service. The record features transcriptions of music from Pinocchio performed by Victor Young and his Orchestra with the Ken Darby Singers. Tracks include such favorites as When You Wish Upon a Star, I've Got No Strings, and Give a Little Whistle. Not a mass-produced item, there are some vinyl spurs around the outer edge and notation etched outside the central paper label. The original plain brown paper sleeve measures 16.25"x16.25". The record remains in very good condition with no apparent scratching though has not been tested for playability to preserve its condition. The sleeve is brittle from age and exhibits a few tears.
