Pin fire knife pistol of unusually large size for small caliber revolver and blade marked “Brevete S. G. D. G.” and showing makers stamp “SB”. The cylinder shows Belgium proofs and the grip scales are made of horn. The pistol measures nearly 14-1/2” overall with blade extended and barrel measures 5” and is 22 rim fire caliber. The blade is approx 6-1/2”. The grip scales are good other than one crack on left side. The metal surfaces show some light to moderate pitting. The revolver is DA, 6 shot and is revolving but out of time and the ejector rod is retained. Circa 1870-1890’s. Last sold Richard K. Bourne catalogue of the JamesElwood Jones collection 1981.
