Widely admired French artist (1841–1919) who was one of the most visible and influential figures of the impressionist movement. ALS in French, signed “Renoir,” one page, 5 x 7, no date. Untranslated letter to an unidentified gentleman. Renoir discusses travel plans, leaving the next day. He will be in Nice for a day or two and will stop on his return in Menton to see the recipient of this letter. Framed with a color portrait of the artist to an overall size of 9.75 x 19.5. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, and a uniform shade of mild toning.
