Pieper Bergmann's Patent Semi-Automatic Pistol
Introduced in 1910 and produced through the end of World War I. Blade front and notch rear sights, with "BREVETE./ S.G.D.G." and "ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS PIEPER. / HERSTAL-LIEGE. / BERGMANN'S PATENT." on the left side of the barrel extension and Belgian Liege proofs on the bolt, right side of the barrel and extension. Marked on the left side of the magazine well is a mounted knight over "BAYARD". Serrated hammer and safety switch, concentric rings on the bolt, checkered hardwood grips with a lanyard staple on the butt.

Condition: Very fine, with 75% of the faded original blue finish, showing areas of mixed brown and gray patina with spotting on the gripstraps, sides of the frame and along the high edges, scratches on top of the extension and scattered handling marks. The bright components show a mixed gray patina. Grips are good, with scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
