Autograph letter signed ''Pie'' to his wife Eve, 3 separate pages, quarto, dated 22 June 1931, from New York, with full tears down the middle of each affecting signature. ''The weather here in New York has been terrible [sic] hot, our double header on Sunday was the worst day. Grantham and Phillips passed out and would not play the second game…Today we play Brooklyn, and tomorrow another double header…'' Third page of letter is signed ''Pie'' though text for this page remains incomplete.
