4pp. autograph letter signed by baseball great Pie Traynor to his wife Eve. 29 May 1934 letter reads in part: ''...We lost two games Monday...would have been nice to win, but just could not do it...we have two hard games tomorrow...We should have a good crowd although the fans have soured on the clubs...My arm feels fine now and I look to have a great year. My hitting in the last few days is nothing to brag about but I will get going again...I am dying to see you my sweet...Pie.'' Two lengthwise tears archivally repaired on verso. In good condition.
