<B>Physician's Statement of Account with George Washington,</B></I> Autograph Document Signed “<I>John Knowles,,</B></I> three pages, 8” x 12.5”, n.p., August 29, 1789. Dr. Knowles seems to have doubled as Washington's grocer since, aside from an itemized service fee, the newly elected first president was being billed primarily for foodstuffs.
