comprising 4 different views of Ruger in uniform, 4 cartes of Mrs. Ruger, the former Helen Lydia Moore, with two CDVs of daughter Nellie (b. 1859), all originally contained in a small period envelope inked Our Pictures. Plus a printed memorial under cellophane wraps, ostensibly from Ruger’s funeral, highlighting his military career.

Three of the military cartes are wartime depicting Ruger as brigadier general, the fourth is penciled, Thomas Ruger/post-war/while military Gov. of Ga. Mrs. Ruger is shown as a young woman with an unidentified relative and by herself in another portrait by Brady some time during the war. Two more photographs are dated 1869 and post-war in Georgia. Eldest daughter Nellie is about five in one CDV and slightly younger in the other.
