Background:

The Beatles arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on their second US tour in August 1965, after playing their second show at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon. They had a six-day break in Los Angeles before their next tour stop. They had rented a house in Benedict Canyon, which was quickly besieged by fans.
Unlike their first US tour in 1964, their second tour was planned to minimize fan chaos. Air Cargo News says A decoy airport was even mentioned to divert attention, and they arrived at LAX on a chartered Constellation at 3:45 a.m. with minimal fuss.
