<B>Exceptional Photograph of President Howard Taft in the First White House Limousine</B></I>. 9.5” x 7.75”, mounted on a backing board to an overall size of 14” x 11”, image in fine condition, mounting boards worn at the corners as usual. A notation of the back of this photograph indicates it was taken on October 10, 1912 at Lisbon, New Hampshire. The image depicts Taft and his First Lady in a Pierce-Arrow chauffeur-driven limousine. Taft is standing as if about to address the gathered crowd as a reporter, notepad in hand, stands ready to document the moment. Under magnification the Seal of the President of the United States is visible on the door of the limousine.
