Photo of Lincoln's Suit
"WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS BY THE AUCTIONEER ONCE ALL BIDS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER FOR EACH LOT."
Original press photo of the suit Lincoln wore when he was shot. From the archives of the ''Chicago Sun-Times,'' photo was taken the day it was auctioned in Philadelphia, on 18 February 1924. Caption on verso, dated 18 February 1924, reads in part: ''Stan V Henkel, of Philadelphia, is seen holding the suit worn by…Lincoln when Booth fired the fatal shot in Washington--which Henkel is to auction off today…'' Photo, measuring 6.5'' x 8.75'' is mounted to cardboard and is uneven at edges with minor foxing and smudges. Very good condition.
