Incorporated in Arizona Territory in 1900, with mine offices in Phoenix. Initially called the Arizona Copper Mountain Mining Co, the name was changed in 1904 to the present title. Cert. # 1753 issued to William T. Smith for 100 shares. Signed by Harry Roberts, president, and Kingston as secretary. Uncancelled. No vignette but decorative masthead. Black border and print, with gilt seal on crème ground. Printer: Monasch Litho in Minneapolis, Minn. Datelined Duluth, April 12, 1907. Meas. 9 x 12." The company's lands consisted of 16 claims over 320 acres, about 4 miles northwest of the Ray Consolidated in the Walnut Grove or Mineral Creek district, 2.5 miles north of the Gila River. The property was worked for silver between 1879-1881, on a small scale. As close as it was to the Ray Cons. property, the ore more closely resembled the type of copper mined by the Moctezuma Copper Co. at Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico, according to the Copper Handbook.
