On sale is a very rare "Phoenician Green Glass Dove" circa 400B.C. to 200 B.C. Featured is a small, intricately crafted, solid green glass bird. This deep "sea green" colored dove was elaborately detailed and was likely the amuletic veneration figurine for the goddess Astarte. Phoenicians are well known for their early core formed and varied styles of molten colored glass creations. This ancient talisman is in superb condition with areas of beautiful iridescence and encrustation.
