It sold for $250 all those years ago and was described then as follows: "(1714) Undated Mo J. Slightly irregular planchet with usual filing. Four edge breaks, all minor. Obverse: Upper three-fourths of shield of 1714 strong, as is much of crown. Full OMJ, partial II. Reverse: Well struck cross and fleur-de-lis within virtually complete tressure. Well-centered. Partial M.REX. Weight: 6.85gm. Grade B."
