<B>Philadelphia, PA- Bank of the United States</B></I> $20,000 Dec. 15, 1840 UNL<BR> A rare and lovely Post Note in a seldom seen denomination, as $20,000 was a huge sum of money when this note was issued in 1840. This bank, scorned by Jackson and weakened by the financial panic and hard times of 1837-1841, closed soon after this note was issued.
