Color limited edition 30 x 44 screenprint by Peyton Scott Russell, entitled 'Diamond Rough,' numbered 4/5, signed in the lower border in pencil by the artist, "Peyton," and marked with a copyright date of 1999. This gray, brown, black, and white artwork portrays a symbolic face with geometric rhombus/diamond in the background. From a series of prints that explored the human face superimposed in nature. In fine condition.

Minneapolis-based graffiti artist Peyton Scott Russell is especially well-known for his association with Prince, who he first met during the 1990s. Peyton was given the opportunity to exhibit his work at Prince's Glam Slam nightclub beginning in 1993. In 1996, Peyton was commissioned to help redecorate Paisley Park for Prince's wedding to Mayte Garcia. Peyton's impressive large-format prints offer a fusion of Warhol-esque technique with a distinctly modern aesthetic.
