This piecs has a wonderful patina. It is a victorian covered jug for ale/water/? There are porcelain heat spacers in the handle and on the lid ferrule so it may have been for hot water or even coffee? There is a round blank cartouche on each side. There is what appears to be a very old repair where the ferrule meets the lid. Made by W.W.Harrison & Co. registered in 1861 in London.
