Petti Bone 1860 Army Presentation Sword. The Petti Bone Mfg Co. Post 1860 Army sword presented to A.P. Wozencraft Dallas, Texas. This is an excellent presentation sword with a 30" blade, and is etched with beautiful floral motif with US script. Ricasso is marked "The Petti Bone Mfg CO. Cincinnati Ohio." Guard is a high relief figure of a cloaked rider. Pommel has an Eagle perched on a rock over animal heads. Scabbard's drag is a panoply of arms. Scabbard also has a soldier in guard position and an eagle in high relief. Scabbard is also engraved with "Awarded by The Exhibition Association to The Captain Making Best Score" over "In Interstate-Contest at Galveston's Semi-Centennial-1889. A.P. Wozencraft was elected to Captain of the First Battery Field Artillery(Texas Volunteer Guard) in 1879 aka "The Dallas Artillery Co." This company received many awards and prizes during competitions.
