<B>Felipe II cob 4 Reales Assayer X,</B></I> extremely rare type struck by the Lima Mint assayer, Xines Martinez, from 1570-71 using his initial X to the right of the shield below a P. The denomination appears to the left of the shield as Roman numerals, four vertical lines. Listed by Cayon as 3578 and similar to the example in the Swiss Bank Corp sale of September, 1988, lot 38, which brought 5250 Swiss Francs. 13.59 grams. VF with some weakly struck areas and light surface patination.
