Perry breech loading single-shot pistol with extra long barrel to double as cane gun. 52 caliber measuring 33” overall, 26” barrel, serial #39, 1st type variation. Refer Flayderman 7C-031. The gun remains inoriginal good condition showing a brown patina finish with scattered light to moderate erosion and pitting. The large screw upon which the breech pivots has been badly marred. No visible markings, one gripreplaced and brass is escutcheons also a old replacement. Action working. A rare early breech loading pistol of which only a few hundred were made total and the long barrels are rare with estimates of about 50 made.From an old N.Y collector’s estate. Est.;$700-$1,400.
