Period engraved Manhattan 1st Model, 1st Variation tip-up spur trigger revolver, .22 cal., 3” octagon barrel, iron frame, wood grips, #1437 in overall uncleaned very good condition showing the majority of its original blue finish on the barrel assembly, considerable original blue on cylinder and traces of original tarnished silver on iron frame; no barrel address which is correct for the First Model, First Variation, crisp action, good bore with some spots of pitting, very good gripswith the majority of their original finish; per Flayderman’s, manufactured 1860-61 with only approx. 1,600 of this Model/Variation made; Little John’s sold a similar Manhattan years ago that was inscribed to George Armstrong Custer.(Antique).
