Period engraved DA revolver inscribed on the top strap “LIDDLE KAEDING, SAN FRANCISCO”, .44 cal., 2-1/4” barrel, period ivory grips, #NVSN. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a light grey patina on metal surfaces, good action, bore and markings; English-style fine scroll engraving, beautiful ivory grips showing beautiful toning and a couple age cracks; Liddle & Kaeding was a high end retailer inSan Francisco during the mid-1800s and this certainly was the quality of a firearm they would have sold to a member of the “sporting” crowd or proper citizen looking for personal protection; very collectible Bull Dogvariation.
