Period copy of Sharps derringer probably by L. Ghaye of Belgium. 32 rimfire caliber 3 ¾” bbl’s, engraved with ivory grips. The derringer is showing a release lever on right side of frame which allows the bbl’s to tip-up for loading. The hammer revolves and there is no ejector mechanism. The pistol is completely devoid of markings, proofs or name of any kind. The engraving is typically European heavy cut leaf scroll and the ivory grips show a European style escutcheon. The condition is good to very good condition with considerable tracks of original blue mixed with a grey-brown patina and grips are at least very good. Interesting. Tom Seymour Collection.
