You are looking at a very rare pair of 18th C. period Louis XV walnut wood doors from France. They still have their original Fleur De Lys hardware, and they are in good antique condition. Some restoration work would be needed.

Much of the original iron fleur de lys hardware still exists on the back of these doors. This is somewhat uncommon in that most fleur de lys symbols were cut and removed from architecture during the Revolutionary times due to the symbols association with royalty. We believe the bronze handles are from the same era.

The moldings on the front of the doors are period Louis XV. The different door widths were to accomodate the opening of only one door (less draft), yet displaying the grandeur of a wider entrance.
