Prehistoric polished Orthoceras ocean fossil. Beautiful, large specimen, displayed within a museum style case. 6 3/8" L X 1 7/8" W fossil in 3 1/2" W X 7" L. Orthoceras ("straight horn") is a genus of extinct nautiloid cephalopod that lived from the Ordovician Period to the Triassic Period ( 500 – 200 million years ago).
