Percussion single shot pistol with barrel desirably marked “R. Beauvais, St. Louis”, .41 cal., 8-1/2” octagon Damascus barrel, back action lock engraved and marked “Smith”; tasteful engraving on the top of the frame, hammer and trigger guard, fair bore, good action; wood stock is in overall good condition showing normal wear and scattered mars and scratches from carry and storage with an old crack on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard; brass-tipped wood ramrod present, one barrel key. Beauvais was highly regarded by those going West including mountain men who also gave their business to the likes of Hawken and Gemmer. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.

Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence.
