Percussion single-shot dueling/target pistol signed John M. Happoldt in block letters on barrel, converted to percussion with new breech added and bolster with nipple. Along with percussion hammer which are both professionally made, possibly by Happoldt. The pistol measures 14-1/8” overall with 9-1/8” heavy octagon barrel measuring nearly 1-1/8” across the flats of the muzzle. In approx. .40 caliber smoothbore. The pistol shows and iron triggerguard with a silver finial and iron spur added at time of manufacture. The pistols are equipped with a single adjustable set trigger. Stock shows good checkering, some even wear, carry, darkening, small scratches, checkering good, small escutcheon around barrel key.
