Percussion mule-ear full stock rifle signed S. Morrison, Milton with matching marked lock. This rifle measures 52 ½” overall with 36 ½” heavy octagon barrel of approximately .62 caliber bored out to smooth. The stock shows 14 silver inlays with accenting brass plaque in bottom of foend and at cheek piece. The rifle is mounted with double set triggers and remains in good condition with a light gray patina finish with some light to moderate scattered erosion and surface pitting with some slightly heavier pitting at the area of the breach and nipple from a great deal of firing. The stock shows some cleaning and restoration at the area of the wrist where it was broken and nicely repaired and lightly refinished. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
