Percussion Fowler, mid to late 19th century, showing London marked barrel from flintlock with crude forged iron mounts, handmade wood stock, probably American. The gun measures 46" with 30-1/2" barrel of approximately 10gauge. The trigger guard is hammered and forged steel, the lock simple commercial grade. There is a small sight inlaid into the barrel with a copper bead front sight. The wood stock shows a decent burl, corn butt plate with forged steel escutcheons and barrel key. The stock shows an old repair at the top left in the tang area. Just the type traded to Indians. Est.: $250-$500
