Per Kirkeby (b. 1938), Linocut, Figure, Denmark, 1982
The linocut in colors on hand is a work by the Danish contemporary artist Per Kirkeby dating to 1982.

Over a career spanning five decades he has developed a unique approach to painting, gradually refining a personal palette and vocabulary of images derived primarily from observations of the natural world. His works often include aspects that can be connected to his studies of natural history and geology. He once compared the process of a work to that of sedimentation.

The work is in very good condition. It is monogrammed and dated lower right in pencil with ā€˜PK 82’ and numbered in pencil lower left with ā€˜I 4/50’. The dimensions of the sheet are 102 x 81 cm.
