The most intriguing thing about this certificate is the dateline: Nevada. We believe it is an unusual Nevada City dateline for an early Nevada stock! # 21 for 10 shares to Frank Fisher. Signed by AG Peer and president AC Niles. AC Niles was a judge in Nevada City. Dateline Nevada, December 28, 1863. Incorporated July 3d, 1863. Not cancelled. 25c Power of Att'y Revenue Stamp. Location: Augusta District, Lander County, N. T. Is closely connected to the Cataract. An assessment was placed on the Pennsylvania No. 2 and Cataract in the same article in the Reese River Reveille. Rounded corner and nick upper right. Otherwise no other notable issues. Todd and Welton (1866) placed the historic Augusta district in this area, east of the present Bernice district. The General Land Office map (1866) shows the Augusta district to cover most of the central Clan Alpine Mountains, including Augusta Canyon and the present Tungsten Mountain district. The Tungsten Mountain district extends north into Humboldt County, covering the mountains along county line, north of the Augusta Mountains and east of Humboldt Salt Marsh.
