Pennsylvania March 10, 1769 10s PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 EPQ. Not a very rare note in lower grade even though only 2000 pieces of this denomination were originally printed. In Very Fine and above it is a major rarity, and this XF45 EPQ is the finest example we have ever seen. This issue was printed "for the relief and employment of the poor in the city of Philadelphia" and is often referred to as Bettering House money. This piece from the Ford Collection realized $1,060 when last auctioned. Now, in its 45 EPQ holder, it is likely to do a fair bit better.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
