<B>Pennsylvania April 3, 1772 40s Very Fine-Extremely Fine.</B></I> This is a well-printed, beautifully signed example of a rare note. Almost 34,000 pieces were printed for each of the other eight denominations of this issue, but only 5000 examples of this 40s note were made. It is also the only denomination of the issue that is printed in red and black. We have only seen about a half dozen of these in over 40 years of dealing in Colonial Currency. This is a lovely example of a scarce and very underrated Colonial note.
